In the past, it is very difficult to rank at the top position of Google’s SERP because there are not many people who could recognize the ranking algorithm of Google. Luckily, times have changed, and getting top-ranked with Google isn’t an unachievable dream anymore. Google revealed some of its principles of ranking algorithm and there are more and more SEO experts recognized how to improve SEO ranking in Google according to their experience. Meanwhile, how to get ranked with Google is always a common question among internet marketers. Below we listed the best strategies to get ranked with Google and hope to help your ranking position.

Keep Improving The Quality Of Your Content To Fit The Audience’s Needs

Improving Quality

Your focus should be to facilitate the audience by improving the user’s experience. It can be achieved by user-friendly navigation, attractive design to catch the user’s attention, automatic guidance to the later steps of proceeding to the website, and adding videos and infographics that help to get links. It would be best if you increased every possibility to make the audience relate to the content on your site so that it gets effectively shared by bloggers and social media users. Lengthy content usually gains better attention than short and insufficient content. Frequent visits to the website and more significant time spent by the audience to navigate it increases the chances of getting top-ranked with google.

Increase The Traffic On Your Website By Enhancing Page Speed

Page SpeedNobody likes waiting around to access content on a website. When there are already so many competitors, you may lose the chance to sell your content if the website does not load instantly. To prevent your SEO ranking from declining, you need to access “PageSpeed Insights” to monitor your website loads. Try to avoid redirects on your page, reduce sizes of image files, and repair any broken links to optimize your site’s loading speed. The most significant disadvantage of slow loading speed is that the bounce rate increases and Google interpret that your site is not well suited to the audience’s needs. Therefore, decreasing the bounce rate by enhancing page speed is essential to get well-ranked with Google.

Optimized Content Marketing For Search Engine Optimization

JaaxyCreate engaging content that keeps users hooked on your site and makes them stay for more extended periods to access maximum benefits. Videos, intriguing blogs, creative infographics, attention-grabbing images, and easy to read e-books are some examples of the content most appealing to the audience in general. The content that you create should be able to deliver complete information on the topic the audience desires and simultaneously should have the potential to tempt them so that they want to revisit it in hunger to learn more from it. The most crucial aspect of creating content on a topic is “Keyword Research”. When you conduct keyword research, you find the topics in which the audience are most interested. For instance, you select one topic. Next, you come to know what other people’s thoughts are on that topic by conducting Google search. Moreover, you can see the frequently asked questions around that keyword.

It helps you to create content such that it addresses the questions frequently asked by the audience. The secret is to get more leads to visit your website and people spending more time while going through your content that increases traffic to your site. It is better if the keywords are long-tail i.e., consisting of three or more than three words. Investing in content marketing is undoubtedly one of the best ways to get ranked with Google. There are a lot of keyword research tools in the market and my favorite one is called Jaaxy. It always helps me to find a lot of low competition long-tail keywords. You could click here to take a look at my review of Jaaxy.

Responsive Design And Mobile Friendliness

Responsive DesignThe audience usually prefers searching from mobile; therefore, it is essential to adapt your website for mobile-friendly searches. The best approach for this is responsive design integrated into your site. The responsive design integrates adaptive design elements so that the website can quickly adapt to the audience’s device. Try to improve the reputation of your website by a good number of online reviews. It will help users access your site and drive your business. The higher the number of mobile searches per day, the better the performance of your business. And better chances to be in the top searches. Responsive design increases traffic to your site so that it gets ranked with Google.

Get Your Content In The Featured Snippet

According to moz.com, Featured snippets are selected search results that are featured on top of Google’s organic results below the ads in a box. Featured snippets aim at answering the user’s question right away (hence their other well-known name, “answer boxes”). Being featured means getting additional brand exposure in search results.”

Let’s take the screenshot below as an example. When I type “what is the best mobile phone” into the search box of Google, a featured snippet is shown at the top position of the result page. This featured snippet is linked to a website called “tomsguide.com”. Therefore, I do believe tomsguide.com will get a tremendous amount of traffic from this long-tail keyword.

Featured Snippet Example

A featured snippet is also referred to as position zero. It is the uppermost box that details the information you search on Google. This position zero is the most aspired position by every competitor to get their content featured. The best trick to achieve this position is to structure your content in such a way that it directly answers the most frequently asked questions about it on the web. The content you create should aptly answer the most common queries. The more your content meets the audience’s needs, the more likely you are to get featured in position zero. Voice searches are getting more common every day, and search devices share information mostly from the featured snippets. Therefore, once your site gets to position zero, you’ll get increased brand exposure, and you will attract a larger audience that will boost your business. Getting your content in the featured snippet has no exact formula, but once you attempt these subtle tricks, nobody can stop you from getting top-ranked with Google.

Make Easily Readable Content On Your Site To Drive More Leads

Content StructureThe main task is to attract leads to visit your site. However, this will be of no benefit if the leads are unable to comprehend your written content and after that, decide to leave your site. It is crucial to enhance your site’s readability, so that leads stay for more extended periods. For this, you have to take care of the basic things like font size and font color that should be visible. It is a better idea to split your content into small paragraphs and sub-headings. It makes the content easy to digest by the reader. Incorporate header tags in your content to highlight the key points. Headers make it easy for search engines to understand your content.

Just like all the posts on this website, all blog posts are split into small paragraphs and sub-heading. Do you think they are easy to read? I would like to have your comments about the structures of my blog post, please share your opinion below!!

Write Irresistible Meta Descriptions

The above screenshot shows the meta title and meta description of one of my blog posts. A meta description is a meta tag that consists of 150 to 160 characters to summarize the content of your web page. It is better to include your keywords in the meta description and Google will probably show it in the search results. In the nutshell, the meta descriptions provide a summary of your site. These descriptions could be of any length between 150 to 160 characters, but they should be long enough to convey full meaning to the audience. Meta descriptions impact the click-through rate, which drives sufficient traffic to your site to get ranked with Google. The descriptions you write should significantly prompt the audience to click to find out what’s more inside. The meta descriptions should be intelligent enough to sell your content, thereby offering an excellent opportunity to get ranked with Google.

  1. uuhhh, piece of cake. 🙂 But I get what you say and you gave some very valuable tips. Thanks. Featured snippet is definitely something I should be more aware of. Mobile friendliness is a bit harder, because the theme determines a lot and I am not quite sure yet how to influence that.
Anyway, thanks, I know what I have to work on 🙂

Thank you for your comment. You’re right, I also think that mobile-friendliness is a bit harder. We don’t have too much control over the theme that we used. Just try your best since there are more and more people use mobile devices to surf the internet. Reducing the size of images, using fewer plugins, choosing a mobile-friendly hosting, etc maybe some good ideas.
